My thoughts about Humpty Dumpty
Maybe he wasn’t supposed to be put back together
Maybe sitting on the wall was Humpty Dumpty living his best life
Maybe he was happy sitting up there all proud and tall
Maybe the fall was necessary.
Just the right thing to bring him to see that living his best life meant taking risks and being crushed to pieces.
I’ve always felt Humpty wasn’t supposed to be put back together… a metaphor for life with all its imperfections.
We are here to live perfectly imperfect and sometimes messy lives.
Creations plan for us to be real… to feel… to allow the brokenness of our experiences heal us in whatever way it comes.
All the kings horses and all the kings men didn’t have the solution to putting Humpty back together again.
That’s because the answer lives inside of us
I know in time we heal. We mend our bodies and our minds.
We see life differently because the cracks allow the light in so we can shine a little brighter
